6th MEETING - CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Dear Colleagues, dear
Friends,
almost one year
ago we organized the fifth meeting of the Neapolitan Brain Group (NGB), which
represented the First Meeting Day of Neurosciences in the Neaples area. Thanks
to the participation of all of you, the meeting, with almost 50 abstracts
submitted, was successful and stimulating. Given the success of the last
edition, we organize a new edition of the meeting, on 14th December
2017 in the magnificent venue of Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn di Napoli
(SZN), thanks also to the availability of the president Prof Roberto Danovaro.
The call for abstract is now open. The phylosophy behind the meeting is that of
the NGB, aiming at promoting kwnoledge and stimulate interaction among all
researchers working in the neuroscientific area of Naples and Campania. The scientific committee is made of relevant and
important neuroscientists: A. Cellerino (Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa),
E.M. Valente (Università di Pavia) e M.A. Hilliard (QBI Brisbane, Australia). For the first time, we can
rely also on the precious support of scientists working outside the Campania,
and this confirms that NBG as well as its meetings are inspired by the
universal sense of open science. We hope that this openness could also be an
opportunity for our local neuroscientific community to be known out of the
regional borders.
Also this year, we
keep the typical format of the international neuroscientific congresses. All
interested are invited to submitt an abstract, which will be evaluated by the
scientific committee. The congress includes a maximum of 18 oral presentations
and, for the first time, also a poster session (maximum 20 poster). All
selected abstracts will be collected in a book, thanks also to the support of
SZN. With such a program and meeting organization we aim at stimulate students/
young researchers to experience how communicate and share their scientific
results to the reference community. We invite all of you who want to submitt
their abstract, the form is attached, by 27th October 2017, at the mail address: endelgiu@unina.it. It is fundamental to
specify if it is for oral presentation or poster. All abstracts will be
evaluated by the scientific committee. Acceptance of abstracts is expected by
25th November 2017.
With warmest regards,
The Organizers
Ennio Del giudice, Carla Lucini, Mauro Cataldi, Elia Di Schiavi
